After A Thousand formed in 2004 as the house band for The Open Door progressive worship in Staunton, VA. They have most recently stepped out to be a more visible presence in the Valley. With musical roots in such varied genres as southern rock, classic rock, heavy metal, grunge, and alternative rock, their eclectic style of songwriting and arranging offers a fresh perspective on local favorites.
